The Arab Republic of Egypt is one of the North African countries. As a matter of fact, it is by far the most developed country in the region. One of its unique geographical features is the Sinai Peninsula. This is the land extension that is taken to be some sort of land bridge that links Africa to Southwest Asia. It is due to the presence of the Sinai Peninsula that Egypt is categorized as a transcontinental country.
