The Republic of Mauritius is one of the most common tourists’ destinations in the African side of the globe. It is an island nation that is located in the southwest Indian Ocean, off the southeast coast-line. To the west of Mauritius lies Madagascar, a distance of about 870 kilometers. The island of Mauritius is just but the mainland. The Republic of Mauritius is quite extensive; it includes a lot of other islands. This includes the likes of Rodrigues, Agalega, Tromelin and Cargados Carajos islands. However, the mainland island of Mauritius is part of the huge Mascarene Islands.
